As a literary society, we're very aware of the volume of paper our industry uses and we wanted to do our bit to reduce our carbon footprint when it comes to paper usage and printing.
So, the GCLS Board of Directors decided that there will be no printed conference program in Albuquerque 2022.
We have the tools necessary to have a fantastic conference without the need for a printed program. Our new social media platform, the Hub, allows us to provide all the information and more that we'd usually put into our program but without printing 350 glossy and difficult to recycle programs.
In the interests of accessibility, we will still provide the conference schedule on a single printed sheet of paper, available to all guests in their conference bags.
We will also continue to print our Awards Program as we recognize that this is a collectable item.
