The Golden Crown Literary Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and is entirely dependent on financial donations to continue our work.

Sapphic and women-loving-women literature is globally underrepresented in bookshops, media, and awards shows.
The GCLS was founded in 2004 to support and increase the visibility of our genre. While enormous steps forward have been made, there is still much work to do.
INSPIRING CHANGE
Our number one priority is to increase the visibility of sapphic and women-loving-women literature, and we know the best way to do that is to create a welcoming and accessible community for all.

Our community and our literature deserve a bigger audience. We continue to rise to the challenge of finding those opportunities for our community. We are resolved in our belief that we can continue to create more opportunities to recognize and widen our community.​
