Author Erica Abbott (1955-2020) epitomized the spirit of Golden Crown Literary Society. A five-time Goldie finalist in Mystery/Thriller and Romance, she was a fixture at GCLS conferences from 2013 to 2019, beloved for her kindness and charming wit, and for her determination to remain active in GCLS despite chronic health challenges. Her dedication to the organization and its mission were marked by continual service as a Goldie Awards judge and a mentor to Writing Academy participants. The Erica Abbott Mystery Writer Scholarship honors Erica’s memory.
