WRITING ACADEMY SCHOLARSHIPS

As part of the Golden Crown Literary Society's mission statement to provide learning opportunities, encouragement, and assistance to new and established writers in developing their craft, we are proud to offer a selection of scholarships. Scholarship deadlines are May 1.

BRIDGE BUILDER

This scholarship is offered to a writer of color who shows talent and drive in creating women-loving-women and sapphically-aligned non binary literature.

 

The chosen recipient will receive one full tuition to the GCLS Writing Academy including individual one-on-one mentoring with a well-established writer.

SANDRA MORAN

The Sandra Moran Scholarship will be awarded each year to one student of the GCLS Writing Academy. 

 

The chosen recipient will receive one full tuition to the GCLS Writing Academy including individual one-on-one mentoring with a well-established writer.

ERICA ABBOTT

The Erica Abbott Mystery Writer Scholarship will be awarded each year to one student of the GCLS Writing Academy whose intention is to write in the Mystery genre.

 

The chosen recipient will receive one full tuition to the GCLS Writing Academy including individual one-on-one mentoring with a well-established writer.

NEXT GENERATION

The Next Generation Scholarship will be awarded each year to one student of the GCLS Writing Academy who is under the age of 25.

The chosen recipient will receive one full tuition to the GCLS Writing Academy including individual one-on-one mentoring with a well-established writer.

INTERNATIONAL SAPPHIC LIT

At the bequest of a generous anonymous donor, this full, one-year scholarship for Writing Academy 1 is offered to a writer who lives outside of the US who is interested in learning to write women-loving-women and sapphically-aligned non binary literature.
As our curriculum is based on line, the chosen recipient will receive one full tuition to the GCLS Writing Academy including individual one-on-one mentoring with a well-established writer.
