TRAILBLAZER AWARD

Definition:
This award is for lifetime achievement and is presented each year to a single author in recognition of the contributions made to the field of lesbian/sapphic/women-loving-women literature.

Criteria:
To be eligible to win, the author must meet specific criteria. The author must have published a significant body of work over a period of at least 20 years and written lesbian/sapphic/women-loving-women works that have had a positive impact on the growth and visibility of the field of lesbian/sapphic/women-loving-women literature. This award can be given posthumously.

Nominations for the Trailblazer Award are eagerly solicited and can be made online on the Trailblazer Nomination page.

Past GCLS Trailblazers choose the recipient of this award. The winning author will be announced on April 30th (Alice B. Toklas's birthday) by posting the winner on the GCLS website. (This will afford the author(s) enough time to plan on attending the conference, should they wish to receive their award at the Awards Ceremony.)

Deadline:

Nominations due by December 31, 2023.
