Executive Committee

The Executive Committee provides strategic leadership and oversight for the organization between meetings of the Board of Directors. The committee supports organizational planning, governance, policy development, and the implementation of board priorities.

Conference Committee

The Conference Committee plans and delivers the GCLS Annual Conference, including programming, logistics, vendor relations, registration, hospitality, and attendee experience. The committee works to create an engaging and inclusive event that brings the sapphic literary community together.

Awards Committee

The Awards Committee administers the Goldie Awards and other GCLS literary honors. The committee oversees award categories, judging processes, eligibility requirements, and the recognition of excellence in sapphic literature.

Education Committee

The Education Committee develops and oversees educational opportunities that support writers and literary professionals at all stages of their careers. The committee helps shape workshops, mentoring opportunities, webinars, and future educational initiatives.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee provides oversight of the organization's financial health and sustainability. The committee assists with budgeting, financial planning, reporting, risk management, and stewardship of organizational resources.

Fundraising Committee

The Fundraising Committee works to secure financial support for GCLS through donations, sponsorships, grants, and special campaigns. The committee helps build relationships with supporters who share a commitment to advancing sapphic literature.

Marketing & Communications Committee

The Marketing & Communications Committee promotes GCLS programs, events, and initiatives through strategic communications, branding, public relations, social media, and member engagement. The committee helps amplify the organization's mission and impact.

Technology Committee

The Technology Committee supports the systems and digital tools that power GCLS operations. The committee helps manage website development, databases, software platforms, cybersecurity, and technology strategy.

Outreach & Community Engagement Committee

The Outreach & Community Engagement Committee builds relationships with readers, writers, publishers, booksellers, libraries, and partner organizations. The committee works to expand awareness of GCLS and strengthen connections throughout the sapphic literary community.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility Committee

The DEIA Committee promotes practices that foster an inclusive, welcoming, and accessible environment across all GCLS programs and activities. The committee advises leadership on policies, initiatives, and opportunities that support equitable participation and representation.

Nominating & Governance Committee

The Nominating & Governance Committee helps identify and recruit future leaders for the Board of Directors and supports strong governance practices. The committee oversees board nominations, leadership development, and periodic reviews of governance policies and structures.
